St. Francis Xavier always set high standards for himself to achieve and had ambitious plans for the future. He was a quick thinker, was a man of quick perception and sound judgment. He never lost the realistic situation that surrounded him, and while he was fervent, he was known to be so without losing a realistic grasp of the facts.
It should be noted that St. Francis Xavier has his goals set however, his goals were not to be "the best" or "first", but rather to make an impact. He was completely driven by a passion, and an internal energy with integrity.
He passionately pursued extra-ordinary yet realistic challenges. His high standards and level to achieve a sort of perfection which in today’s langue we may state as PICTURE PERFECT scene motivated. St. Francis Xavier to drive himself to help others in a way which he believed was beneficial to all persons on earth. ST. Francis Xavier conducted his work in the spirit of doing more than what was required.
This word "more" was used by Loyola to underscore good character in service to others.
